Dr. Lulu is a Life Coach in San Antonio, Texas. Her mission is to help parents accept their LGBTQ+ kids without shame or blame.
Dr. Lulu came onto my radar about a year ago via Facebook. Colour me intrigued by this woman creating a safe space for parents of LGBTQIA youths. In doing some exploration into this woman, I discovered so much more than my initial thought of a mother wanting their child to grow up being happy. So . . . so much more.
Dr. Umeh, aka Dr. Lulu “The Momatrician,” is a Nigerian-born International Keynote Speaker on Bullying and Youth Suicide.
She is an Indie Author and Indie Publisher. Her first book “How to Raise Well-Rounded Children,” debuted at number one on Amazon’s Hot New Releases in the Parenting genre, and is available on her website www.teenalive.com, and on Amazon, in paperback and e-version, and in the Texas Indie library. It received a 5 Star Rating from the Readers Favorites independent review.
Her latest addition in this series is a timely instructional handbook: How to Teach Your Children About Racism" which is a blog that literally went viral and debuted at number 1 in 3 separate categories on Amazon!
In addition, she also has a book titled “The Warrior Women Project” which I know we will find time to discuss specifically in today’s podcast episode.
She is also a freelance writer and frequent contributor to online as well as paper publications, including The Black Parenting magazine, The San Antonio Medicine, Parents magazine, The Washington Post to name a few. Her personal blog is www.wordsbyblackbutterfly.com.
Dr. Lulu is on most social media platforms: Facebook and IG as “ask doctor lulu,” as well as Instagram and LinkedIn.
She is a mother of three children. She lives in San Antonio Texas where she practices medicine seeing only at-risk youth.
