Join Lisa O’Brien and Michael Carnahan on Tuesday, April 28, 2020, at 8:00 p.m. Central for Episode 10 of Clear & Convincing, Social Distancing and Horse Racing. We’ll be joined by Michael Amo and Dr. Bryan Langlois, of Thorofan, a 501(c) organization founded to retain and enrich the experiences of existing horse racing fans, to attract new fans and to give fans a voice in the industry. We’ll pick up where we left off in our last interview and talk about the work Mr. Amo and Dr. Langlois are doing in their communities to enrich the lives of all creatures great and small. Then, we’ll talk about the impact of COVID-19 on the racing industry. We’re a live show and questions are welcome. Our phone number is (347) 989‑1171. About our guests: Michael Amo, a founding member of Thorofan, has been a Thoroughbred horseracing enthusiast for over 30 years. In 1978, a friend took him to the Belmont Stakes and he was soon hooked. He is a co‑owner of a health care consulting business and a published author and an elected County Legislator in Orange County, New York since 1998, where he has served on a range of statutory committees including the Legislature’s Off‑Track Betting Committee. The combination of his love for racing, management skills, not‑for‑profit experience and political acumen led to his co‑founding of ThoroFan. Dr. Bryan Langlois, a board member of Thorofan, is a resident of Pennsylvania and a veterinarian, who became a racing fan for life at the age of 10 when “Brian’s Time” ran in the Triple Crown races of 1988. In 1989, the Triple Crown battles of Easy Goer and Sunday Silence cemented him as a lifelong fan of the sport. Witnessing the horrific breakdown of Go For Wand in the 1990 Breeders’ Cup Distaff at Belmont Park ignited his passion to become a veterinarian
