Jack Saddleback is a Cree, two-spirit transgender gay man, and is the Cultural and Projects Coordinator at OUTSaskatoon – a non-profit organization in Saskatoon that builds community for LGBTQ2S people of all ages and backgrounds.

As part of Pride month, Dale sits down with Jack at OUTSaskatoon to talk with him about his journey and story, including his very early life at Samson Cree Nation in Alberta; his relationship with his family; struggles as a young person growing up in Calgary including issues at school and with classmates and administrators; why he moved to Saskatoon and what happened in his first year in university; suicide and mental health experiences; campus politics at the University of Saskatchewan; the challenges and benefits of Pride parades; a profound change that happened to him last year; the work he does at OUTSaskatoon and for the LGBTQ2S community…and much, much more.
