#22 James the Just: A Dialogue on Christianity and the Action that Faith Requires (James 2:14-26)
Manage episode 378351606 series 3475487
*Disclaimer*
This Chapter in James talks about the works that Faith calls us out to do. In no way do Nathan or I believe that you are justified by works. As is obvious by the teachings of Jesus we are justified by faith and faith alone. Along with that God prepares for you good works, this is the perspective that Nathan and I come from when reading this convicting chapter in James.
In this episode, we talk about James 2:14-26. James explains how faith and works are inseparable. Nathan and I focus on the fact that God calls you into works when Faith is conceived in you. In this portion, many people believe that Paul and James fundamentally disagree by reading into the chapter without context, but it is simply not true. Nathan and I discuss how James further refines Paul's explanation of justification by faith. I hope you enjoy this episode and dig into scripture after listening and come up with your own conclusions as well. God bless!

What the Talking Bible podcast is about: This Podcast was created to talk about the bible from a layman's perspective. My friend Nathan Blondino and I are both in youth ministry (me being a youth pastor and Nathan is one of the leaders). We both love Jesus and want to share that with people through the word of God. This is a place where we will talk about Jesus.
