From the archive: Two years after Neil DeGrasse Tyson first appeared on TSN's The Science Studio, the director of the Hayden Planetarium sat down a second time to speak to Roger Bingham, in New York in 2011. In this wide-ranging conversation, Tyson and Bingham again roam across topics at the intersection of science, society, and communication. They debate usefulness of transcripts and the influence of Francis Bacon. Tyson ponders the challenges of being a scientist when our sensory systems produce only approximations of 'reality'.
