Richmond’s brave performance against Carlton in Round 1 is front and square on the latest episode of the Club’s premier podcast Talking Tigers.

The TT team reflect on the fighting spirit within the Richmond side and pay special tribute to the efforts on the night of star players Nick Vlastuin, Noah Balta and Toby Nankervis.

There’s plenty of discussion around who will fill the Tigers’ key defensive posts for Sunday’s match against Port Adelaide, along with a comprehensive preview of the clash.

In the “Spirit of ‘74” segment, reliving Richmond’s triumphant 1974 season, Tigers captain and champion centre half-forward Royce Hart tells The Age newspaper it is only a matter of time before he is forced into premature retirement because of a chronic condition.

And in the new “Going Up The Country” segment, the focus is on a Victorian town that produced a key member of Richmond’s drought-breaking 1967 premiership line-up, who later became the father of one of the Club’s all-time greats.

For all things Yellow and Black, tune in to Talking Tigers.
