On this episode of “Tall, Dark and Random” we examine how friends, family and our significant others often use guilt to manipulate our actions. From the fairly harmless to the more serious, guilt is often something most of us do not even realize we are projecting. Do you have someone in your life that indirectly uses guilt or shame to control your actions? How can we be better about recognizing guilt in our interactions? How can we better communicate and find more direct ways to get our point across? We answer these questions and more on this weeks episode. **note: we apologize for cutting the episode short at a random point. There was a slight issue with the audio being off in the last 20 mins of the program that was impossible to correct. We’re not sure what happened with the feed but the question and respond was slightly off, and very hard to understand. It began sometime in the latter half of the convo and got so bad that we were forced to trim it completely at a point. We apologize for anything you hear that is slightly off. We will revisit the last ten minutes on next weeks part 2 and get you up to speed before we continue with the “emotional blackmail” portion of the topic.** Music: “Hootin’ and Hollerin” by The Lovelorn. “A Wolf I’m Sheep’s Clothing” by This Providence. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/talldarkandrandom/support
