Connecticut is considering creating weaponized drones. Said drones would not carry “lethal” weapons, but could use stun guns, tear gas and rubber bullets on non-compliant citizens.

Pros – fewer police-caused fatalities, safer for officers

Cons – feels Orwellian and furthers the idea of a surveillance state

Trump created a massive flow chart to highlight government red tape. The chart details how building a highway could require 10-20 years to get approved. His goal is reduce that to one year.

Syria finally found that red line. Or we now have a President who believes in enforcing red lines. Either way, Assad’s air force took a massive hit from US missiles after he reportedly gassed his citizens with Sarin.

Syria has once again violated international laws on chemical weapons, killing innocent civilians including children. The US will no longer lead from the rear, and Assad needs to understand that using chemical weapons will have dire consequences to his agenda.

Neil Gorsuch was confirmed as the new Supreme Court Justice of the United Sates. Republicans invoked the “nuclear option” allowing them to squash the Democrats filibuster with a simple majority. It’s sad to see that it’s come to this, even though Democrats have themselves to blame (for it was Harry Reid that championed the nuclear option of course). I hate that we are moving further and further away from bipartisan collaboration.
