We flip the script in our new season and kick it off with a new focus!
In our first season, we gathered the thoughts and insights of significant leaders in the field of education as we navigated through the challenges of student wellbeing, resilience, growth mindset, government funding, Catholic Education, professional development and of course, COVID!
Did anyone bother to ask the children about the decisions that were being made on their behalf time and time again during the pandemic? In Season 2, we will be speaking with the other stakeholders who are impacted and influenced by schooling and education.... the students and their families!
In episode 1, 'What do the students say?' we speak to 3 senior students at Xavier College in Albury and get the low down on their schooling experience over the last 3 years. This fairly candid and informal conversation will have you engaged from the beginning! Your answer to the question above will undoubtedly be a resounding 'They sure as hell should have!' when you hear what Isaac, Lachie and Isabelle have to say.
We conclude the episode, as usual, with some thoughts and insights from the Doctor, Stephen Brown. We were also lucky enough to interview Andrew Fuller, clinical psychologist, family therapist, author, speaker and creator of Learning Strengths, to discuss the research he has gathered on the impact Covid has had on children and their education.
Strap yourself in and enjoy Season 3!
