Welcome, welcome - you are listening to Tech and Trees and this time I am talking to Dr. Lauren Lentz - Lauren is a lot of things: The founding partner at the Berlin-based Impact Venture Capital Fund Revent, a social scientist with degrees from Yale, Oxford and Harvard and lastly and probably most importanty: my boss. Lauren has done a fair share of zig-zagging in her life from conducting impact measurement on social interventions around the world to now ending up as an aspiring Impact Venture Capitalist in the European Tech Ecosystem. We talked about the early beginnings of Revent - Lauren basically gives me a little 101 on how to set up a venture capital fund. Then we take a little look at her time as a scientist and from there take a leap into what impact measurement is and what one should watch out for when doing that. Lauren is a no-bullshit person who likes to convince with her work rather than pretty words.
