Don Witt of The Channel Daily News from Telecom Reseller speaks with Anthony Minessale II, the Inventor and Original Author of FreeSWITCH. Starting out with a history of FreeSWITCH as an observer from Don Witt followed up with the inside history from Anthony as he describes the several stages of his evolution to ultimately transition Web Hosting, AsteriskTM coding and support into the FreeSWITCH project. ClueCon started in 2005 as a brainstorming session on what FreeSWITCH should be and continues, starting today, for the 11th year. Anthony discusses the 2016 ClueCon main subjects which include FreeSWITCH and WebRTC technology. Anthony provides great insight into one of the hugely successful open source projects. ClueCon is not a typical cookie-cutter EXPO that aims to get you face to face with a salesman in an endless sea of booths. ClueCon was designed to bring everyone interested in technology-driven communication to one place to share ideas, learn from each other and build the tools needed to succeed at any goals you have. Everyone has something to gain from a seasoned web developer playing with new ideas all the way to CEO of a technology company looking to take advantage of real-time communication. Presentations are given in a large classroom format and plenty of time is reserved for social interaction and getting to know the speakers and sponsors. ClueCon is geared towards: New business startups or existing technical companies looking to get your development team up to speed on the technology they need to succeed in VoIP and Telephony. A developer working with open source VoIP project for your company. Someone who just loves the whole idea of connecting computers to telephones. Anyone dealing with high-density telephony. Anyone interested in integrating conference calling and PSTN with HTML5 and WebRTC.
