Mark Price was one of the greatest shooters in NBA history. When he retired from the game, he had the highest percentage of free throw shooting in league history. He was a four-time NBA All-Star for the Cleveland Cavaliers out of Georgia Tech. In the 1988-89 season, Price achieved the 50 /40

/90 distinction. 50% shooting from the field, 40% from three-point line, and 90% from the free-throw line ……….. at the time he was only the second person to ever accomplish that behind Larry Bird. Also adding to his resume, Price was a two time NBA 3 point shooting champ. Price was one of the stars on the Cavalier teams coached by Lenny Wilkens in the late 80s and early 90s. They were one of the more dominant Eastern conference teams, but usually ran up against either the Bulls or the Pistons. In light of Steph Currys Olympic barrage of crucial 3 pointers, I directed most of my questioning about shooting; What is the mentality of a shooter?
