Ryan Shazier is a retired NFL linebacker who earned Pro Bowl honors for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Shazier suffered a spinal cord injury while making a tackle on December 4, 2017. He was left a paraplegic, though after spinal stabilization surgery Shazier learned to walk again. Two years later, he effectively announced his retirement from football . The onetime star at the Ohio State University talked about his early development, college, and pro experiences and we talked about the injury, the rehabilitation , his faith, his struggles but quite a bit about his hopes and dreams .
