In a way, expectations can be helpful: they can give us a sense of motivation and direction, or help us meet certain standards. However, sometimes we expect a lot of ourselves. They are also often unrealistic, which can cause a lot of stress and self-criticism. So, how if we start to manage expectations instead of letting them rule our lives?
