El miedo es una de las más antiguas y poderosas emociones humanas, observó el escritor norteamericano Howard Phillips Lovecraft. Uno de los temores más recurrentes en la niñez son la oscuridad y las criaturas que habitan en ella. En un vasto panteón de seres tenebrosos, y en tierras ibéricas concretamente, destacan los sacamantecas, equivalentes al coco o el hombre del costal en nuestras latitudes. El terror que infunden en los pequeños tiene sus orígenes en atrocidades de la vida real. En esta nueva emisión, los Testigos del Crimen narran la historia de dos célebres e infames sacamantecas españoles, como un homenaje tardío al día de difuntos y a ese maravilloso territorio llamado infancia.
