Impressions matter in business as they play a crucial role in how we connect with others and how we are perceived in different contexts.
Managing our impression involves the stamp (our essential self), the ink (our behaviors and actions), and the paper (the impression presented to others), and finding a balance between these elements is key to making a beneficial and accurate impression.
Impression management should be used in a positive and authentic way, avoiding manipulation which is short-lived and harmful for both oneself and others.
