As we start to emerge from quarantine, it can be difficult to figure out what to do. Where do we go from here?

The silver lining in this pandemic is that there is immense opportunity for freelancers and agencies. We will be in demand, sought after, and ready to get to work as soon as everything comes back online.

If you were wondering how you were going to complete your goals for 2020, this will be a good episode for you because I have some bold predictions about what the post-quarantine world will look like, and why it looks great for freelancers.

In this episode, we’ll talk about what I’ve enjoyed about my quarantine time, what questions a lot of freelancers will have about this new world we're experiencing, and why I’m excited for this new way of doing business.

"This is another opportunity for us to position ourselves as high level impactful and specialized agencies and experts who are going to come in and save people's work lives. That's a huge, massive value that we can bring to our clients in this time." ~ @avanimiriyala

1. Remote work will finally be seen as legit

I've been waiting for this one for a long time. I think that having to be physically present in an office (for most tasks) is an outdated way of thinking. This means that if companies are getting used to letting people work at home, so will clients. We have so many tools that allow remote work to thrive, so I look forward to it becoming a mainstay.

2. Companies will be hiring more agencies and freelancers

A lot of companies have had to downsize and their teams have become smaller. This means that some of the work that they may have handled in-house will now be pushed out to agencies and freelancers. Likewise, people who have lost work are now available to hire onto our teams.

3. People want experts, not executors

Companies are going to look for people that have to expertise to fix problems on their own, and not have to be gotten up to speed. These companies will want experts, not people who just show up and do what they’re told. Likewise, these companies are probably behind schedule for 2020 and will be looking for people who can complete their tasks quickly and correctly.
