Discover the unconventional journey of Matt Zeigler, Managing Director and Private Wealth Advisor at Sunpointe Investments, as he shares insights on the role of trust, connection, and creativity in wealth advisory. Host Bryan Moore, ETF Capital Markets Expert at Harbor Capital, riffs with Matt as they create a playlist while discussing Matt’s journey and the differentiated value he offers his clients.
This episode of The Active Advisor covers:
  • The benefits of being unlucky early in your career
  • How Springsteen’s “Money for Nothing” shaped Matt’s investment strategy
  • The impact of behavioral finance in times of financial crisis
  • What Rick Rubin has in common with connecting the dots for clients
  • Tracy Chapman’s inspiration to turn challenging situations into something beautiful
  • The art of active management
Matt is a Managing Director and Private Wealth Advisor at Sunpointe Investments. He helps clients create, align, and manage their financial plans and investment strategies. Prior to joining Sunpointe, Matt worked at Bank of America Merrill Lynch as a Senior Financial Advisor, Portfolio Manager, and First Vice President. Across 16 years and multiple roles, he’s gained a deep perspective on how individuals, businesses, and non-profits can plan and invest in their future.

Matt’s talent-turned-skill is engaging people on their level. In his words, "Finance may be complex, but it doesn’t have to be complicated. Whether it’s a single person alone, a big family, a corporation, a non-profit, or any other entity - it always starts by connecting with people first. And people have stories about where they are now, where they’ve been, and where they’re going. It’s our job to listen, apply the math of financial planning and investment management, and then figure out, together, how to keep them moving forward strategically."
