Katherine is the epitome of expat excellence. She turned a few months' internship at a national paper in Costa Rica to a reporter role at the Tico Times, the most well-known English language newspaper in Central America. From there, she became the Managing Editor of the Tico Times, and a speech writer for Costa Rican President and Nobel Laureate Oscar Arias during his second term.
Today, she is the co-founder of El Colectivo 506, a bilingual media organization for and from Costa Rica, including in-depth journalism, and a national directory of rural tourism to showcase Costa Rica’s rural communities.
Listen in, first to immerse yourself in life in Costa Rica, the hear Katherine's inspiring, fascinating story of her Costa Rican life. Stay tuned to the end to hear five reasons why people relocate to Costa Rica (and one reason they don't even plan for).
