On today’s special bonus episode, recorded live from the Road to Majority Conference in Washington, D.C., put on by the Faith and Freedom Coalition, I was able to sit down with Purnima Nath who is running for the House of Representatives in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

In Purnima’s view, politicians are interested in saving their seats and raising funds to win the next election. She wants everyone to know she is not running for election for a "seat". She is running so she can speak the truth to power and keeping the sanctity of public service, which is what politics was supposed to be. She does not want to watch destruction of society and the country she calls home, while politicians enriching their pockets.

Purnima believes if we are to make our community a better place to live, grow and raise a family, we must all do our part to change it. She says our system is broken and we deserve better. Purnima is an American, with an extremely humble background. She believes it is her duty to serve the community and has dedicated her life to do so.

Purnima obtained her MBA in Northwestern University and spent years as a management consultant, helping organizations and corporations grow and become more efficient. Her passion for community-work led to her building a non-profit from ground up, dedicated to building US-India relationships, which has helped bring visibility to the Indian community, help local businesses grow, create jobs and promote diversity, culture and inclusion.
