Today we welcome Author, Poet and father, Sam Green. One of my oldest friends from elementary and I get to discuss his new book, BLK (Best Love Known) as well as check up on the many things and moments we have missed with each other in the last 10 years. This is the first in a series of recordings I call the “Kwanzaa tapes” to commemorate Kwanzaa this year. This episode commemorates today’s principal, Umoja, which means Unity; To strive for and maintain unity in the family, community, nation, and race. I chose this interview for today because Sam speaks greatly about his family legacy and shares some great family memories. This episode will lift you up. Be sure to check out his inspiring book BLK, the Experience.
