Today we are going to receive this encouragement no matter what stage of Christian Growth you are in. Some of us are precious embryos not get birthed into the loving arms of our Savior. Some are babes in Christ (baptism), little children all the way to being elders and aged in Jesus. We have two groups John is going to speak to all of us as dear children, then fathers who are older in the faith and young people who are fighting this battle to stay strong in their faith in the face of spiritual warfare and worldly temptations.

I am writing to you, young men,
because you have overcome the evil one.

because you know the Father.

because you are strong,
and the word of God lives in you,
and you have overcome the evil one.
