Where does your help come from? From your city, your government, or from God? Followers of Jesus do not need to be concerned with evil in any of its forms, because we serve a God who does not slumber. His faithfulness is a foundation on which we can build our lives and trust that it will never crumble. Every form of evil is only a mysterious form of good, because for the child of God, everything we encounter is overruled for the Father’s good. Our help does not come from the government and its laws or from the strength of the country, but from something that is eternal and dependable. Kirk reminds listeners that “God in his sovereignty transforms every crushing calamity into a mysterious form of good that deepens our faith and moves us closer to him and sweetens our journey to heaven." Altthough evil may affect those who love God, we cannot be overthrown, because we stand on the promise that God will preserve us from this time forth and forevermore.
