Welcome to the Americhicks podcast. Kim Monson and Molly Vogt are your hosts. Agree or disagree, let's have a conversation! Yesterday Kim didn't have her coffee before the program. Today she has had coffee, so hang on tight as the fully caffeinated version of Kim Monson takes the microphone. President Trump addressed the nation from the Oval Office regarding the government shut down and our southern border. Following his speech, Senator Chuck Schumer and Speaker Nancy Pelosi took to the airwaves to respond to President Trump - it was cringe worthy. President Trumps speech was on point and noted that there is a humanitarian crisis at our border. President Trump is determined to deal with this humanitarian crisis and to deal with it in a moral, and yes humane way. Westminster City Councilman David DeMott joins Kim to share with us some important information about some vacant seats on the city council and the effort to fill those seats. Radical, progressive, activist women have been stigmatizing conservative women for too long. Carrie Lukas, President of the Independent Women's Forum (iwf.org/about/carrie-lukas) shares her thoughts regarding "Check Your Progressive Privilege:" It's about time that women fight back on the "Women's March" narrative that marginalizes some women. "Women's March" women do not speak for all women and "Women's March" women send out plenty of virtue signaling. I can't wait to talk with Carrie Lukas, president of the Independent Women's Forum, about her recent Wall Street Journal Op-Ed,"Check Your Progressive Privilege."
