We discuss Benjamin’s 2017 article in Work and Occupations, “Working Algorithms: Software Automation and the Future of Work“, and the broader subject of human workers’ role in an automated future. We also discuss proposals to include a citizenship question on the Census and Penn law professor Amy Wax’s controversial statements about the performance of black students, and the Cambridge Analytics scandal.
