Today, I'm speaking with two special ladies who are absolutely dedicated to the work they do. The first half of our interview is with Jordan Joseph, who is a volunteer coordinator with The Catty Shack Ranch Wildlife Sanctuary, the #1 rated thing to do in Northeast Florida according to TripAdvisor magazine. The Catty Shackis a big cat wildlife sanctuary that helps aging animals get the care they need all the way to the end of their life. Since these animals live 2-3 times as long as they do in the wild, their cost of care can get pretty expensive, so they offer public tours to offset that expense. Come out to the ranch during their nighttime feedings that are open to the public and learn more about the 50 or so big cats, as well as the foxes and coatimundis roaming around the sanctuary. At the ranch, you will see a variety of big cats including bobcats, lions, tigers, leopards, and cougars.
