In this evening session of Psychological Matters, we talk about ADHD in the workplace: from stigma to strength. Despite an increasing awareness globally of the impact of ADHD in the workplace, the challenges and opportunities associated with neurodiversity in adults in the workforce remain comparatively under-examined in South Africa – and a leadership expert says this is to the detriment of both affected employees and companies. Debbie Goodman, bestselling business author and CEO at Jack Hammer Global, notes that because professionals with ADHD face unique challenges during hiring processes and assessments, they may be overlooked for promotions despite their talents and capabilities. There is therefore a need for greater awareness and acceptance of neurodiversity in the workplace, as well as support for the positive potential contribution of individuals with ADHD. Debbie joins us this evening to have this important discussion.
