The Automation Podcast, Episode 210 Show Notes:

Special thanks to Tony from Rockwell Automation for coming on the show to introduce us to FactoryTalk Design Studio! To learn more about the Design Studio, see the below links:

Post show notes on next release:

“The 1.08 update of FactoryTalk Design Studio will be available for customers on 7/27/24.

With this update, users can manage access to specific FactoryTalk Design Studio operations with Role-Based Access Control. This first iteration gives users the ability to protect certain actions performed within the software by designating an Admin who is responsible to assign roles based on the level of access needed for each user.

Also available in this update are enhancements to our Generative AI Assistant with FactoryTalk Design Studio Copilot. With a refined response time, users can now view responses in real-time as the assistant generates an answer. We have also integrated an “Ask Copilot” feature where users can troubleshoot errors in the Output Panel.

Lastly, in this update, we continue expanding our device offering with the addition of Stratix 2500, 5200, and 5410 switches as well as a 1783 CSP (CIP security proxy) device. These switches range from lightly managed to fully managed. The addition of these products will help customers manage their networks and choose the best device to increase the security of their network.”

Until next time, Peace ✌️
