The BPFC Time Capsule has unsealed a while ago but we're dumping the whole lot out and in this episode (recorded 24 June 2021), El Capitan Neal, Ama, Adam, Jonathan, Rosler and Joseph settling into The Pub and wasting no time whatsoever. Opening with the Main Segment this week, the lads discuss the US Women's National Team's (USWNT) Olympic side selection and folks? These... were some choices, to put it extremely mildly. Yer bois don't hold back, as per usual. Tune in to hear them cover everything from the selections themselves to the reactions to said call-ups.
Our heroes then get into a different international competition: EURO 2020. Our heroes unpack the EURO 2020 group stage results (namely, Italy's dominant performances after a shaky start and full credit to Jonathan for predicting Italy's results succinctly) and how football is not coming home before discussing Denmark's Christian Eriksen and his terrifying, gut-wrenching moment where he collapsed on the pitch during the match. The Pub switches gears to Copa America and the results in that tournament as well as a quick CONCACAF aside regarding the Haitian men's national team and a particularly unfortunate event during one of their matches in an intense edition of Around The Pitch. BPFC wraps with Ama's brainchild Extra Time, where Ama in particular reflects on Juneteenth 2021 and everyone else weighs in to talk about what was on their minds and what moved them that week.
