Welcome to the twenty sixth episode of The Beauty School Dropouts Podcast!
Body image is a really loaded subject, so this week the team chat about our experiences with body image, the expectations placed on us by the media, and why it's ok not to love your body all the time. We also discuss the roots of the body positivity movement, and why commenting on other peoples' bodies is not ok even if you think you're giving someone a compliment.
Tune in next week for the other half of this two-part spectacular, when we talk about the influence of capitalism and marketing on body image, how to avoid passing your insecurities on to your kids, and why everyone can benefit from small shifts in the language we use to talk about our bodies.
