Welcome to the Best is Yet to Come with Pastor Brad Morgan. This week's message is concerning the Prophet Elijah. Pastor Brad begins his teaching in 1 Kings 17-18 (https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1+kings+17-18&version=NKJV). It says in James that Elijah was a man with a nature like ours. God uses people that are working on things in their lives, that are not perfect. There was a humanity to Elijah. God takes us all through a process. Since we are in the new covenant, our prayers can be mighty prayers. After 3 years God commanded Elijah to go present himself to King Ahab (1 Kings 18). Ahab had a servant named Obadiah and by God's providence he came to know Elijah. Because Obadiah feared God, he was granted a suddenly and he met Elijah and God through him. Elijah commande Obadiah to tell King Ahab that he was there to see him. Ahab had been hunting Elijah for some time, but through God's providence, Elijah was able to stand up to Ahab. Eijah, through God, tested the people and God judged the false God's they were following.
