We talk with Travis Thompson The name SivART comes from his name spelled backwards. Travis was born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina and has been heavily involved in the arts since a very young age. Since graduating college he has been employed with the Sawtooth School for Visual Arts in Winston-Salem North Carolina, as well as the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County and Charlotte-Mecklenburg County School Districts.
Travis has drawn and doodled since a young age but it wasn't until he was studying at Winston-Salem State University that he began to take his art seriously. It was there that he discovered a love for painting in Oils and Acrylics. It was also there that the idea for the SivART Gallery was born. Over time Travis has added Logo Creation, Paint Parties and Author to his resume. His 1st children's book titled 'The Color Wheel Kids" was published in October of 2017 and can be purchased online at several major retailers. Travis primarily works as a freelance illustrator for up and coming authors.
