Question of the Week.
Alex, a renowned artist, agreed to paint a mural for Bella's new restaurant in exchange for $50,000. The contract stipulated that the mural would be completed by June 1st, and Bella would pay Alex upon completion. On May 15th, Alex informed Bella that due to unforeseen personal circumstances, he could not complete the mural by June 1st but could finish it by June 15th. Bella, needing the mural for her grand opening on June 10th, refused this extension and immediately hired another artist, Carl, to complete the mural for $60,000. Alex, feeling wronged, sues Bella for breach of contract.
