After another week in the trial of Boston Marathon bombing defendant Dzhokar Tsarnaev, the prosecution began to wind down their case in the guilt portion of the trial. Jurors were shown examples of the bombs used on Boylston and in Watertown, and were shown graphic autopsy photos of the victims. In this week’s podcast, Carl Stevens and Lana Jones are joined by Middlesex Community College Director of the Program on Homeland Security Terrence Downes, and again by Suffolk University Law Professor Chris Dearborn. Both experts gave their insight onto the defense’s strategy to avoid the death penalty, and what we may see in the next portion of the trial.
