Our series of bonus podcasts continues with Nick Hodgson, founding member and former drummer with Kaiser Chiefs, naming his favourite album of the era.
He picks Is This It by The Strokes - and explains the impact the American band's debut had on him and how it transformed the musical landscape of the early 2000s.
Nick discusses how The Strokes inspired so many to try to replicate their look and sound - and why Kaiser Chiefs new they had to take a different approach. He also gives his expert view on the 'rough' sound to the production and how Kaiser Chiefs ended up passing up a chance to work with The Strokes' producer themselves.
Remember you can check out our full episode with Nick about Kaiser Chiefs in our library, too.
