The Apex’s Editor-in-Chief Aaron Durant and Executive Editor Ben Hinc have revised the format of The Braking Point podcast in time for its first appearance in 2018.
Comprised of three segments (news rundown, discussion session and an in-depth topic), the new format cuts down on unnecessary episode length and embodies The Apex’s vision of purposefully providing value to racing fans wanting to be closer to the action of sports car and open-wheel racing.
The news rundown includes each headline from the past week before Durant and Hinc transition to deeper discussion on the 2018 Verizon IndyCar Series television schedule as well as the remaining seats in the series and drivers that could fill them after Jordan King signed on with Ed Carpenter Racing and Rene Binder announced a four-race program with Juncos Racing.
Coincidentally, this first episode of 2018 comes exactly half a year after The Braking Point celebrated its first birthday. At the half-year and one-year marks of Episode 26 and Episode 52, a blooper reel was included. We’re ringing in the new year with our third blooper reel as we continue our second full year of releasing episodes of The Apex’s official podcast each week.
The Braking Point is produced and distributed by The Apex.
