Today we are joined by @JoyOfodu and our lovely host @Ayomi Samaraweera for a conversation about balancing your work as a Creator and full-time worker and how to nail the pitch as a Creator by Understanding your audience.

In this episode Joy describes her journey from being chronically online from a young age to becoming a notable Creator and Voice Actor. With details from Joy’s experience building her production credibility as a student at USC to the doors of short-form content opening before her in 2020, Joy talks about acknowledging your creative IP and how to leverage that into new opportunities.
After leaving her job at Instagram (and the benefits that accompanies it), Joy spills her secrets on understanding who you’re working with and who has the decision making power when it comes to budget and press. Finally she touches on the ongoing issues in the Creator space with regards to race inequality and the pay gap.

As a celebrated voice actor and Creative Executive, Joy Ofodu has drawn over 35M views to her original digital comedy content including two original shows, Dating Unsettled and Who Needs This. Under her self-titled media company, she has grown a highly-engaged community of nearly 300,000 online daters and meditators in just three years.
