The first episode of the Carol Danvers Show! We read through Ms. Marvel vol. 1 #1 from January, 1977. This isn't her first appearance, but its the first time we see her with powers. Carol Danvers gets a job at the Daily Bugle, and Ms. Marvel battles the Scorpion!This being the first episode, we learn that our hosts, Ariel Wang and Lewis Patzner, are musicians, so they bring an artistic take to the material. You can check out their music at arielwangmusic.com and lewispatzner.comYes, Carol Danvers is now known as Captain Marvel in the comics and the upcoming movie, but she started out as the head of security at Cape Kennedy, where she met the Kree alien, Mar-Vell, who became the first Captain Marvel. In this issue, we learn that her powers are linked to Captain Marvel's, and a reveal of her origin is promised in the next issue!
