Neal, Jason, and Mike take the deep dive into the topic of bolsters. We cover methods used by both Jason and Mike to attach and dress bolsters. Neal then takes us down the road of historic bolster production and we take a look at several historic examples. In this episode, we reference both the "Art of the Cutler," "Smith's Key," as well as other makers and photos. All the reference material can be found here. If you are interested in how fancy bolsters had become by the early 1800s - be sure to check out Smith's key!
Featured in this episode is Neal's book: Art of the Switchblade
