This week, we're diving into a hot, new, rapidly growing social media platform called BeReal. The site prompts you to post one unedited photo of what's in front of you and what's behind you at the same time as your friends. Then, all of you can see what each other is doing and leave your comments. There are ways to share images publicly, but for the most part this app truly is geared toward staying in touch with those you know and not being sucked into the doom scrolling of other social media sites.
So, does that mean this is the social media savior we've all been looking for? Is it full of thirst traps, ads, and other distractions that detract from the content and intent of the site? Is it safe to use and respectful of your privacy? And most importantly, should you get involved and BeReal with your friends? Spoiler alert: We love it! And we definitely didn't expect to. Why BeReal might be the answer to your social media frustrations, and a whole lot more in this episode! Let's get into it!
