With the recently leaked draft of a Supreme Court decision, there signaled the court's intention to overturn one of the most landmark decisions of the last century: Roe v. Wade. This decision, effectively enshrining abortion rights for all women across the country, has been under fire and hotly debated since it was handed down. If overturned, many states have laws in place that would effectively make abortion outlawed, whereas other states would be unaffected having enshrined those same rights for women in their own State Constitutions.

Why, after 50+ years of debate, does the topic of abortion remain one of the most divisive issues across the political, cultural, and social landscape? Aside from the political divide, and what exactly the highest court of our land should and should not be deciding, where do the legal definitions end, and where does the philosophy begin? What constitutes a life, and who exactly is allowed to set that objective moral principle around an issue that is entirely personal? What does it mean to make that decision, especially since so often the person most affected is never the one who gets to make it?

Listen as all of this and more is discussed by the exact people you don't want to hear talk about this issue. That's right baby it's time for the lads at The Cogan Conversation to put on their pair of gloves and examine all the ins and outs of abortion rights!
