Mark A. Jennings explores the rich and encouraging epistle to the Philippians under the overarching theme of partnership in the apostle Paul's gospel. He uses Ben Witherington's schema for organizing the letter according to ancient rhetorical structure and sees themes of fellowship, Paul's rivals, and money as essential to understanding the epistle. The rhetorical structure proceeds as follows: Exordium 1:1-11 Narratio 1:12-26 Propositio 1:27-30 Probatio 2:1-4:3 Peroratio 4:4-9 Concluding arguments/denouement 4:10-20 Enjoy the interview!
