The CHAUNCEY Show-Meet Melissa Martz for US Congress Florida CD-18. Melissa Martz has a long list of passions and accolades but at the center of nearly all of them is one thing – people. Martz is a Registered Patent Attorney with a B.S. in Pre-med/Biology and minors in Chemistry and Religion. Martz was raised in both the Jewish and Christian faiths and attended an Assemblies of God undergraduate college. Out of college, Martz briefly worked for the public school system as a high school biology teacher. Subsequently, it was a difficult time in her life, as single mother, that led her to go back to school for law. In law school, Martz attended evening classes, so that she was free to care for her infant child during the day and worked two jobs to make ends meet. During this time, Martz met her valiant husband, Peter Martz. It was this union that enabled her to pursue her true and altruistic callings. Together, the Martzes created A Mother’s Heart Corp., a local non-profit aiding single mothers and their children. As a survivor of childhood sexual abuse, committed by her biological father, an NYPD police officer, it was a natural progression for Martz to want to help other victims of sex abuse. Martz became a vocal advocate of anti- child sex trafficking. Martz has always been a constitutionalist and government minimalist. However, it has been the recent display of outright government tyranny, in this last year, that has ignited her to fight on behalf of her fellow Americans, to protect our freedoms at all costs. Martz was the first of four attorneys to stand up and sue Palm Beach County against their unconstitutional mask mandate. Martz rejects the concept of "anti-masker" and embraces the idea of "pro-freedom", choice and medical autonomy. Join national political commentator/host Chauncey I. Brown III with Mellissa Martz as we talk about Florida and the nation.
