May is mental health awareness month. And today we are sitting down with Marion Allen to discuss mental health. Marion is a retired recreational therapist who worked in a psychiatric hospital for about 35 years. Today we discuss what life is like in a psychiatric hospital, the misconception people may have regarding individuals with a mental illness and what we can do to help our family and friends who may suffer from a mental illness.
