This is the tale of a how a motley crew of misfits, comprised of a Royal Navy Lieutenant, a former farm labourer, a Reverend, 2 Cadbury workers and a maverick 22-year-old businessman from Birmingham amongst others, defied all expectations and shattered the glass ceiling of English cricket over the course of one unforgettable Summer.
