In this first episode back after the festive period, I’m going deep into why I LOVE inner child’s work! Doing this work has allowed me to live a much more authentically aligned life as I’ve managed to work through blocks that I’ve had since childhood. For many of us, our creativity can sometimes feel as though it’s been shut down and this stems from when we often got in trouble if we were messy with our art at the kitchen table, or drew on a wall thinking it was a canvas and we began to associate being creative with getting in trouble. We’re hardwired to want to fit in with our group and make the people we look up to happy, like our parents, teachers and friends, and this eventually leads us to adopting lots of beliefs that don’t serve us as adults.

For me, a lot of my inner child beliefs were around the far-too-common idea that creative pursuits can’t be careers. Since I squashed that belief, my career has completely taken off and as you know, I love photography and running my own business! If I had held myself back based on this block, I probably wouldn’t have gotten into photography and had my life changed by it. That’s why I’m recording this episode, so I can help you to begin to do inner child’s work and start to shift your childhood beliefs.

In this episode, I’m diving into:

  • Why inner child’s work has been so important to me
  • How doing this work can allow you to remove blocks and develop yourself
  • The ways in which our beliefs influence us as we become adults
  • My favorite ways to do inner child’s work
