Jon Cohn is a true aficionado of all things terrifying.

Born and bred in San Diego, Jon's path took a detour through LA's film industry before leading him back to his hometown, where he embarked on a career as a professional board game designer.

In 2019, Jon plunged into full-time writing, crafting chilling short stories published in renowned anthologies and ultimately birthing his debut novel, "The Island Mother," an island folk-horror masterpiece that clinched Publishers Weekly's esteemed Booklife Prize for best horror fiction in 2022.

Not one to rest on his laurels, Jon followed up with "Slashtag," a gripping tale of a haunted reality show gone awry.

He joins Vince on the show to discuss his latest work "Everything is Temporary."

They discuss Jon's passion for horror, his creative process, and his penchant for Halloween festivities, including his legendary murder mystery parties that have become a staple in San Diego's spooky calendar.
