Guest: Jacqui has a Ph.D. in Classical Studies from the University of Pennsylvania and an MA in Global Conservation from Miami University's Global Field Program. Her research interests include elephant tourism in Thailand and visitor engagement at farmed animal sanctuaries in the U.S. She is a lecturer in Gender Studies and Film at the University of Pennsylvania and Drexel University in Philadelphia.

Her doctoral research focuses on cat-human relations within urban communities, and discourses surrounding free-roaming and free-living cats (Felis catus). Other academic areas of interests include morethanhuman families, griefwork, animal representations, and Mediterranean street cats and cat-human cultures.
