George Daniels is one of the most influential figures in Chicago music history. In this interview with Donnie Houston, he talks about his life as a child moving around from New York to Houston before eventually landing his Chicago. George talks about how he became Etta James' driver while at Chess Records, where he met a young Minnie Ripperton and began a relationship. He also talks about his legendary music store, George's Music Room which became the number one stop for any artist coming to Chicago. He talks about his personal relationship with R. Kelly and how he was influential in some of his biggest records, embracing Hip Hop in it's early days when everyone thought it was just a fad and a lot more.
