The year is 1996 and Wrestling is in its final days before its biggest boom period, but the seeds for the attitude era were laid in the first half of 1996, including the return of Roddy Pipper in January, talking about the rights and wrongs of America and Goldust's obsession with the machismo of Razor Ramon. WWE was getting close to the edge with its storytelling, until Razor Ramon handed in his notice and plans for Roddy Piper's original Wrestlemania 12 opponent, OJ Simpson, changed.
